Also known as Sheikh Ameen Ullah, Fazeel-A-Tul Sheikh Abu Mohammed Ameen Al-Peshawari belongs to an Afghan family but residing in Gunj Peshawar. He is Shiekh ul Hadith in the Ganj Madrassa[4]. He was serving as a teacher and Sheikh ul Hadith in the seminary. He was designated by the US and the United Nations (UN) in 2009 for providing material support to Al-Qaeda and the Taliban [5]. According to the US treasury department he trained fighters for the Taliban. He was involved in recruiting for Lashkar-e-Taiba at the Ganj Madrassa in 2013 and hosted Al-Qaeda operatives in 2012. He forwards the donations received by the madrassa to jihadists fighting in Afghanistan[6].

Mufti Jalaluddin
Also known as the Mufti of Islamic State Khorasan Province was a supporter of Sheikh Ameen Ullah and he attended the Ganj madrassa. He was trained by Ameen Ullah at the Ganj Madrassa, and later taught there. The Mufti was killed on October 13, 2015 in an airstrike in the eastern Afghan province of Nangarhar, Afghanistan[7].

Haji Alim Sher, 83, is the founder of Ganj Madrassa and presently the administrator of madrassa[8]

Maulana Muhammad Ibrahim is the principal of Ganj Madrassa[10].

Who they are:

The Ganj Madrassa is allegedly used as a training center for the Taliban and Al-Qaeda[19]. It is also linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba, the group that is accused of the 2008 Mumbai attacks[20]. The madrassa is accused of giving financial support to the Al-Qaeda, Taliban and the Lashkar-e-Taiba by receiving donations in the name of charity for the madrassa[21].

History:

The Madrassa was established by Haji Alam Sher in the late 1980s in Masjid Humza, Peshawar[22].

Organization’s Message:

The religious school is accused of training and recruiting the madrassa students to fight alongside the Taliban in Afghanistan and therefore supports the Jihaad against the US, India and Israel [23].

Target Audience:
 
The Madrassa allegedly radicalize the students to conduct militant activities and train the students to manufacture bombs and become suicide bombers[24].
