Shiites
consider Hazrat Ali as the first true leader (Imam) of
the Muslim community. Shiites religious practice
revolves around the remembrance of Hazrat Ali’s younger
son Hazrat Hussain who was martyred in the city of
Karbala in Iraq in the year 680 AD.
